Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)

Experience the power of Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) with Agile Manufacturing. Our advanced SLS manufacturing process utilizes a high-powered CO2 laser to fuse small particles of powdered material, creating precise 3D parts. The laser selectively scans X & Y cross-sections on the powder bed, layer by layer, until the model is fully formed according to your 3D CAD data.

Once the build is complete, excess powder is carefully removed, and the part is meticulously finished using a tumbler, bead blaster, or by hand to achieve the desired level of precision. SLS parts can be coated, smoothed, or dyed, offering you a wide range of finishing options.

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)

Unlock the potential of Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) with Agile Manufacturing. This process uses a thin extruded filament as raw material, which is fed through a heated nozzle and deposited onto the printer platform, solidifying layer by layer. Our FDM printers build 3D parts with incredible accuracy, outlining the perimeter first, followed by the interior edges, and finally filling in the middle of each layer.

All of this occurs in a temperature-controlled build chamber with meticulously dried raw materials, ensuring that every part meets the highest standards of quality.

Agile Manufacturing is your gateway to rapid, high-precision prototyping. Whether you’re exploring SLS, FDM, or any other advanced 3D printing technology, our team is ready to help you innovate faster and smarter. Stereolithography (SLA)

Stereolithography (SLA) is the go-to technology when you need smooth surfaces and highly detailed, presentation-ready parts. Agile’s industrial SLA printers use a UV laser to cure liquid photopolymer resin layer by layer, producing parts with exceptional accuracy and fine feature resolution.

SLA is ideal for:

  • High-detail concept models and showpieces

  • Form/fit evaluation for complex assemblies

  • Large, single-piece prototypes that need a smooth, paint-ready finish

With a wide selection of SLA materials—ranging from general-purpose plastics to clear, heat-resistant, and specialty engineering resins—we can closely simulate the look and feel of injection-molded parts. Post-processing options such as sanding, painting, and clear-coat finishing help you achieve a true “production intent” appearance.

Multi Jet Fusion (MJF)

Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) combines excellent mechanical performance with fast turnaround times, making it perfect for functional prototypes and low-volume end-use parts. In MJF, a fusing agent and detailing agent are selectively jetted onto a powder bed of nylon, then fused with infrared energy to create dense, strong parts.

MJF is ideal for:

  • Functional prototypes that need durability and repeatable accuracy

  • Complex geometries, integrated hinges, and snap-fits

  • Short-run production parts requiring consistent mechanical properties

Parts produced with MJF feature fine detail, good surface quality, and excellent isotropic strength. Agile can also provide secondary finishing such as bead blasting, dyeing, and surface smoothing to enhance aesthetics and performance.

Digital Light Processing (DLP)

Digital Light Processing (DLP) offers rapid build speeds and sharp feature definition using a projected light pattern to cure an entire layer of resin at once. Agile leverages production-grade DLP platforms for small to medium-sized parts that demand high resolution and repeatability.

DLP is ideal for:

  • Small, intricate components and detailed housings

  • Snap-fit prototypes and functional fixtures

  • Applications where tight tolerances and crisp edges are critical

With a range of engineering and specialty resins rigid, tough, elastomeric, and more DLP is a powerful solution for both visual models and functional parts that need to stand up to real-world testing.

Digital Light Synthesis (DLS)

Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) is a next-generation process that uses continuous light and oxygen-permeable optics to create production-quality polymer parts with excellent mechanical performance. Unlike traditional layer-by-layer processes, DLS produces parts with smooth surfaces and consistent properties throughout the build.

DLS is ideal for:

  • Functional prototypes that are very close to final production parts

  • Lattice structures, cushioning components, and ergonomic designs

  • Production-intent parts that may later move to high-volume manufacturing

With advanced material options including tough, high-temperature, and elastomeric resins—DLS enables prototypes that behave like molded parts, making it an excellent choice for performance testing and pilot production.

Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS)

Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) brings metal rapid prototyping to your product development cycle. Using a high-powered laser to selectively fuse layers of metal powder, DMLS builds dense, fully functional metal parts directly from your CAD data.

DMLS is ideal for:

  • Functional metal prototypes for aerospace, automotive, medical, and industrial applications

  • Complex internal channels, conformal cooling, and lightweight lattice structures

  • Bridge tooling, jigs, fixtures, and low-volume production components

A variety of metal alloys—such as aluminum, stainless steels, and specialty alloys—allow you to evaluate real-world performance under heat, load, and fatigue. Post-processing, including heat treatment, machining, and surface finishing, ensures your parts meet demanding dimensional and performance requirements.
