Passes through a standard doorway and can be set up in a few hours. You only need a standard power outlet to start.
Projection-based SLA System
The PSLA 270 architecture merges the best of both worlds: the pixel productivity of projection-based technology and the buoyant, non-contact precision of SLA. Its dual high-resolution projectors deliver unmatched pixel efficiency, far surpassing traditional laser systems.

First Article Success & Accuracy
While building inverted with a membrane works great for small parts, it introduces distortion from peeling and gravity on bulky parts with large cross-sections. With the PSLA 270 there is no contact, and no gravity-based distortion. The end result is remarkable precision, consistency and part quality irrespective of geometry with a fraction of the support structure needed by other solutions.

Compact size with a max. build capacity 242 x 265 x 300 mm ( 9.5 x 10.4 x 11.8 in)

New Hardware Architecture
-
Vat Design
The roll-in-place vat is precisely located on the frame datums, simplifying the material leveling process, making material change easy.
-
Recoater Design
The dual-rail recoater system further enhances part quality at a higher movement speed. It’s precision attachment feature makes material changes fast.
-
Clean Interior
Designed for frequent material changes, the new interior is designed for simplicity, with stainless covers to minimize maintenance and cleaning times.
-
Material Loading
Add material to vat with hand pouring or auto-fill resin pump, allowing for continuous print operation without frequent manual intervention.
-
Material Leveling
New displacement leveling system dramatically improves leveling performance as well as reducing overall system complexity.

Production-grade Resins
The PSLA 270 is designed to operate with the Figure 4 range of engineering and production-grade resins delivering printed parts with an injection-molded like quality and best-in-class smoothness.
Choose from our ever-expanding range of rigid, tough, durable with thermoplastic-like behaviors, castable, heat-resistant, and biocompatible capable materials in a range of colors and translucencies. Printed parts exhibit long-term UV and humidity stable mechanical properties; up to 8 years for indoor use and up to 1.5 years for outdoor exposure per ASTM D4329 and ASTM G194 methods.

Part Quality
PSLA 270 produces exceptional part quality and accuracy, a direct result of our precision projectors and innovative hardware configuration.
In order to guarantee best-in-class part quality, all our materials, print processes, image processing software, and printer hardware, are developed in-house, ensuring seamless integration.
3D Systems’ image processing software automatically adjusts the pixel edges with gray scaling. This results in high-quality production-grade plastic parts with best-in-class surface quality.

-
Remote Monitoring
An HD camera supports operators to remotely start or oversee print progress, increasing productivity and work flexibility.
Flexible Manufacturing
PSLA 270 can deliver batch-level, true production-grade outcomes with all the first-article success and job reliability of SLA vat-based printing.
Whether you’re building large single parts or populating a platform with large quantities of small components, the performance and output remains consistent and repeatable to levels of up to 6 Sigma across multiple printers.
PSLA 270 meets customer needs for reliability. High-quality resilient materials help ensure long-term durability.

Easy to Change Material
Material changes have never been easier. The PSLA 270 features a mobile cart designed to accommodate a variety of material vat sizes to best fit your application. The vat system is designed keep the elevator, displacer, and recoater nested with the vat of resin they are used with.
The Material Delivery Module (MDM) is also an integral part of the mobile cart so nothing needs to be cleaned during a material swap. One cart is simply exchanged for another and all the necessary components come with it. Additionally, precision vat location to the frame of the printer ensures the smoothest possible material change.

Material change takes 15 mins. when previous design was taking hours.

Flexible Design
The doors and the UI can be flipped to allow for the UI to be placed on the right or left of the machine. This enables the most efficient layout for your space and workflow.
